Eure Betriebssysteme

Da ich gerade mein Betriebssystem umstelle hab ich mich mal gefragt ... Was habt ihr für Betriebssysteme auf dem Rechner/Laptop?

Windows? Mac OS? Linux?

Würd mich mal interessieren :)

bei mir läuft Windows XP und Suse Linux.
Windows 7 werd ich mir demnächst mal neben XP installieren.

großer Desktop Rechner läuft neuerdings unter Win 7 Professional, ganz nett :-)

Mein Laptop hat ein Vista drauf, bekommt aber wohl in nicht ganz ferner Zukunft ein Kubuntu spendiert, damit ich auf beiden Plattformen coden kann.

Bei mir läuft Vista. Nach anfänglichen, gegenseitigen Kreuzzügen haben wir uns jetzt eingespielt und soweit bin ich ganz zufrieden damit.

Ich nutz seit Jahren XP und bin zufrieden mit. :) Windows 7 klingt interessant, aber 1. wieso, wenn meins läuft und 2. wenn dann so, dass man alle Funktionen nutzen könnte (Touchscreen, etc) und das ist wie gesagt teuer. ;)

Das wieso ist schnell beantwortet: Es gibt für WinXP keinen Support mehr, was über kurz oder lang zu massiven Sicherheitsproblemen führen wird. Und alle Funktionen nutzen ist auch komisch. Win7 ist ja kein System für Touchscreens, es bietet nur die Möglichkeit dazu besser als die Vorgänger (die übrigens auch schon sowas unterstützt haben).

moch gibt es patches zu XP aer auch nicht ewiglich, vista enterprise hab ich zwar orignial hier vorliegen. Hab ich aber nie installeiert.

Aber Cthulhu hat schon recht irgendwann wird der support wirklich stoppen und irgend wann wrd man cnith drummm herum kommen ein neues Betriebssystem zu wählen. Und 7 ist bis her ja nicht ganz so schlecht weg gekommen als vista... ich bin mal gespannt.
Der umstieg von 2000 auf XP hat ja auch irgendwann mal reibungslos funktioniert bei mir :tongue:

Ich benutze seit geraumer Zeit Windows 7 und muss sagen, dass ich sehr zufrieden bin. Ein stabileres und leistungsfähigeres Windows hat es nie gegeben. In Sachen Benutzerfreundlichkeit wirklich ein Meilenstein, wie ich finde.

mein Mitbewohner hats Milestone, das ist was sehr feines. Hab ihn allerdings noch nie damit telefonieren gesehen... ;-)

yikes, das Thema wieder, ich bin inzwischen auch wieder umgestiegen: Der Laptop hat nun Kubuntu, nachdem ein kurzer Ausflug ins Reich des Archlinux von allem, aber nicht von Erfolg gekrönt war. Kubuntu felst allerdings sehr!

Debian Stable auf einem Netbook. Andere Computer nutze ich gerade nicht. Desktopumgebungen sind alle möglichen installiert. KDE und Fluxbox sind aber die bevorzugten.
