WoW sollte sich warm anziehen, denn niemand geringeres als der Herr der Ringe zieht in die virtuelle Schlacht gegen den Online-Giganten ;)
Noch ist nicht viel bekannt, ausser die offizielle Homepage (http://lotro.turbine.com/) und dass es definitiv monatliche Kosten geben wird, wie auch bei WoW. Hier für alle Interessierten ein paar Screenshots, die defintiv Lust auf mehr machen.

Hmm, wenn das wirklich Screenshots sind werden entweder die Hardwareanforderungen des Spiels enorm sein oder es wird bei 80% der Leute wesentlich schlechter aussehen oder dermassen ruckeln das man sich auch ne Diashow ansehen kann.

Nicht unbedingt. Guild Wars hat auch ne beeindruckende Grafik und läuft auch auf älteren Rechnern problemlos. Alles eine Frage der Engine ;)

Stimmt. Aber ich sehe hier einige Effekte die wohl ne Graka mit Pixelshader V2 voraussetzen werden. Also werden viele wohl diese beeindruckenden Grqfiken nicht sehen koennen. Sicher kann man mit der Engine viel rausholen, aber nicht alles.

Klar, das ist sicher richtig. Aber: Diejenigen die auf solche Dinge achten sind normalerweise Leute denen das Zocken wirklich wichtig ist, die demnach auch viel in den PC investieren und die Hardware deshalb wahrscheinlich auch besitzen, immerhin werden noch mehr Spiele mit neuen Shadern usw. rauskommen, da gibts also keinen Weg dran vorbei.

da sieht wirklcih hammer aus. aber bei eurem fachgeplänkel kann ich mir schon ausrechne das mein schleppi nicht geeignet ist dafür. auch schade drum.

Nachdem mein WoW-Account gekündigt ist, weiß ich ja schonmal, was ich als nächstes SPiel anfange

Denke mal, das die Screenies zeigen, wie das SPiel mit höchsten Einstellungen ausschaut und das man, wenn man die Einstellungen runterfährt auch mit älteren Rechnern gut zurecht kommt....

tolle grafik - wie gut das spiel dann wirklich ist wird sich ja noch zeigen...

Als "free to play" sicher dann doch recht interessant, wobei es da doch bessere Alternativen wie Last Chaos und Guild Wars gibt.
Hatte mir Lotr-online damals als test-Abo angespielt und war wenig begeistert. Schwammige Steuerung und unausgewogenes Gameplay.

Bei der deutschen Version hat es etwas länger gedauert (die englische ist schon gute zwei Monate F2P). Wahrscheinlich musste erstmal drüber diskutiert und Anträge ausgefüllt werden ;)
